The
theme for all 2011 classes and workshops is,
"Developing Your Own Personal Style."
Each class (sketching, watercolor, and
acrylics, oil, & beading), will explore (from month to month), the ways in
which we can all develop our own personal style of art and not just copy
the teacher!
Through the use of classical techniques, experimental techniques, working
on location, in the studio, with photos, by using abstraction, naturalism,
and a variety of other approaches, we will spend a year working to
develop our own unique ways of creating art.
Instructors are professional artists.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM JANET'S PAINTING CLASSES?
Classes are open to anyone who is interested in painting. Included are
people who have never held a brush in their hand, to professional gallery
artists and everyone in between. Acrylic is the featured medium, but oil
and watercolor painters study with us as well. The emphasis will be on
creating harmony on the picture plane through composition, value and
color relationships. Students will be encouraged to respond directly to
the forms and colors on the canvas. There will be demonstrations,
personal attention and gentle critiques. It will be a fun and learning
environment for all.
